Martial Arts

Martial Arts can provide a wide range of benefits including self-defence skills, self-discipline, physical fitness and improved confidence.

We have several martial arts clubs based at the sports centre who provide expert martial arts coaching for both children and adults.

Karate is one of the world’s most popular martial arts and is a highly effective form of self-defence.  It is an excellent form of exercise and provides many additional life skills including enhanced concentration, self-control and increased confidence and self-esteem.

Choi Kwang Do is a modern martial art that utilises natural body movement to provide powerful self-defence techniques whilst placing minimal stress on the body.

 

It is a non-contact martial art so participants can learn self-defence skills without getting hurt.

11:30am - 12:30pm  -  Ninja Tykes Class (3-5 years)

Taekwon-Do can be translated as the way of the foot and the fist and this effective form of self-defence incorporates various punching and kicking techniques and is great for health and fitness.

Taekwon-Do is much more than a form of self-defence and places great emphasis on its values which include: Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control and Indomitable Spirit.
